About Us

What is the Air Training Corps?

The Air Training Corps (ATC) is one of the largest youth organisations in the UK with over 40,000 cadets. As a member of the ATC, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of exciting activities and training programmes, including flying and gliding in a range of aircraft, adventure training, sports, rifle shooting, parades, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.

Our adventure training programme is designed to push our cadets to their limits, both physically and mentally. You’ll have the opportunity to take part in activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, orienteering, and camping. Our sports programme helps our cadets to stay fit and healthy, develop their sportsmanship, and build friendships with their fellow cadets. Our rifle shooting programme is led by qualified instructors and provides a safe and challenging experience for our cadets.

We also offer opportunities to participate in parades and ceremonial events, as well as the chance to earn the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, a prestigious recognition of your achievements in a range of areas.

In addition, the ATC offers opportunities for overseas camps, allowing our cadets to travel and experience new cultures while developing their skills and friendships.

Joining the Air Training Corps is a fantastic way to challenge yourself, develop new skills, and make lifelong friends. If you’re aged 12-17 and interested in aviation, adventure training, sports, or community service, we invite you to join our community of young aviation enthusiasts today!
